When I teased the update online in a single player copy, it ran outrageously smoothly, but some Issues came into play when I tried testing it on the actual realm. The video covers the basics of it, but the article does as well.
So the way realm the mod functions requires experimental features (Holiday creator features, custom biomes, ect.) that realms don't endorse, but single player and 3rd party softwares do. I'll spare you the details, but I tried everything to make it work.
The migration process is needed, we can take the world and put it into a 3rd party server. Instead of it being in the multiplayer tab, it is in servers, just like Mineplex and Hypixel. For you nintendo, playstation, and xbox players, I have figured out how you can join dedicated servers (did it with my nintendo the other day) and I assure you that you can still play.
But the back to the mines update is undeniably worth it, based on the footage in the video, featuring so many different armors and weapons. Different ones have different effects, leading to a pick your poison kinda deal.
But in order to make it work, we need either a month or two of downtime for the server, or donations and purchases to test new servers. And when this happens is up to you. Soon I will release a voting world in place of QuestLine for your choice of date.
Hope this answered some questions!
